The Islamic Society of Pinellas County would like to congratulate the community of Pinellas County, Tampa Bay Area and all the Muslims all over for the arrival of Eid-U-Fitr. Eid will be on Friday, July 17, 2015. Please Note the new location for the EID PRAYER. Takbeerat will start at 8:00 AM. Salah will be at 9:00 AM. Breakfast will be served after the Salah.

This year we will pray Salat al Eid at a new location. Following are the details, please help spread the word about it.

Takbir Starts: 8 AM
Salah: 9 AM

Day: Eid will be either on Friday (17th) or Saturday (18th) of July 2015 Insha Allah. Please call the Masjid on (727) 546 3162 on Thursday 16th July 2015 after Maghrib (8:40 PM) for the Eid Day confirmation or check for an announcement on this page.

Insha Allah Zakat al Fitr for this year will be $10 per each person in your family. This is obligatory on every muslim who can afford it.

Ibn abbas said: "the messenger of Allah (p.b.u.h.) enjoined Zakat al-Fitr on the one who fasts to shield him from any indecent act or speech and for the purpose of providing food for the needy." (Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah.)

If you want Masjid to distribute your Zakat al Fitr to the poor and needy then please give $10 for each person in your family to the Masjid by no later than Wednesday 15 July

Insha Allah there will be Tahajjud prayers every night in the last ten nights of Ramadan starting Tuesday, 7th July 2015. These will be in addition to Taraweeh prayers.

• From July 7th till end of Ramadan
• Every night starting @ 3 AM in the morning
• Every night Suhoor Potluck - bring some food if you can
• Led by Sheikh Ibrahim AlMasri and Sheikh Eid Zaki

Sheikh Ibrahim will have a halaqah for the youth (bothers and sisters) on the topic of Lessons from Surah Yusuf . This will be a 3 part lecture series every Friday night after Salat al Taraweeh and Witr, starting tonight, i.e. 3rd July 2015. We advise the parents to attend along with youth since this will be late in the night. This will be for the youth of ages 14 and above. Please be prepared to spend 45 minutes to an hour.
