• لم يكن له عقب
• كان أحد شعراء الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم
• في حديث عن أبي الدرداء: إن كنا لنكون مع الرسول -ص- في السفر في اليوم الحار، ما في القوم أحد صائم إلا رسول الله وفلان
• كان من النوافل التي اشتهر بها، ولها قصة، أنه كان إذا دخل بيته صلى ركعتين وإدا خرج صلى ركعتين.

• He was half brother of the famous companion abu Addardaa, same mother
• He did not have any children
• He was one of the poets of the Prophet SAW
• Abu Addardaa narrataed: We used to travel in the days of extreme heat, and no one is fasting except the Prophet SAW and ….
• From the extra good deeds he was known for, and it had a story, that before he leaves his house, he would do 2 extra rakaa’s, and whenever he gets back too.

• كان من صغار الصحابة ومن أقارب الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم
• كان ممن تكفل بهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بعد استشهاد أبيه
• قال عته الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم شبه خلقي وخلقي
• دعا الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم له ” وبارك له في صفقته”
• كان من أجود الناس، حتى أنه كان يسمى بحر الجود
• قيل له : إنك قد أسرفت في بذل المال، قال: إن الله عودني أن يفضل علي، وعودته أن أفضل على عباده، فأخاف ان أقطع العادة فتقطع عني
• Was one of the young companions as well as a blood relative to the Prophet SAW
• The prophet SAW was responsible for him and his family after his father passing away as martyr in one of the battles
• The Prophet SAW said about him: He has my characteristics and looks
• The Prophet SAW said: “and Bless his trade”
• He was very generous, to the extent he used to be called “the Sea of generosity”
• He was asked one time, why do you give away so much of your wealth. He replied: Allah got used to being blessed with this wealth, and I got him used to being generous with people. So I don’t want to stop, so he won’t stop too

• كاتب الوحي
• نشأ يتيما وكان ذكياً ..
• تعلم كتابة اليهود في نصف شهر بأمر الرسول ليكون كاتبه لهم فسمي بترجمان الرسول
• كان عمر يستخلفه على المدينة إذا حج
• أمره أبو بكر الصديق رضي الله عنه بجمع القرآن .
• From The Ansar, the Tribe of Khazraj
• He is called the sheikh of reciters, and also known to be Mufti Almadinah
• He also was known to be one of the writers of the revelation, writing down the verses
• Was brought up orphan, and he was very smart
• He learned to read and write the Jewish language in 15 days under the order of the prophet SAW so to write and read their communication with the prophet SAW
• Omar RAA used to make him a the Khalifa on Madinah whenever he had to travel outside.
• Abu Bakr RAA gave him the role of authenticating and collecting the oral and textual Quranic revelation into a single bounded volume

• من ولد يوسف بن يعقوب عيهما الصلاة والسلام ..
• قال عندما قدم النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم المدينة …فلما رأيته عرفت أن وجهه ليس بوجه كذاب ..
• وفيه نزلت {وشهد شاهد من بني إسرائيل على مثله}
• توفي سنة ثلاث وأربعين
• The Imam, The Jewish Scholar
• He was also given the glad tidings that he is from the people of Jannah
• He is a descendant of the prophet Yousuf AAS
• He said when the Prophet SAW first came to Madinah: As soon as I saw him I knew he was not a liar
• One ayah was revealed with talking about him:”while a witness from the Children of Israel has testified to something similar and believed”
• He died year 43 AH

• مات سنة ثلاث وتسعين وعمره مئة وثلاث سنين ..
